Concrete and Sand - Breakdown

CONCRETE AND SAND

I created this artwork as a means of testing and experimenting with new modelling techniques and geometry nodes setups that I had developed. I have found that the process of developing this has given me a lot of insight into my creative process, hopefully helping me to create better art in the future.

GEOMETRY NODES
While crude, this housing generator provided me with assets that were able to provide some difference in shape and look somewhat like a city to give the project some more realsim.

The nodes in this project were made 100% by me, which I'm quite proud of, even though it doesn't provide the best-looking results when used alone.

BIG BUILDINGS
To model these, I made extensive use of the array, mirror, and wireframe modifiers in blender. I textured all of these buildings using two textures from textures.com. This just goes to show the versatility of these textures and the versatility of blender.

PREVIOUS ITERATIONS
These are some of the previous iterations I had before I decided on the final composition, compositing, and placement of assets.
